Hrmm.... Well, I like the console-RPG based humor (duh). It's great how the Hero is immersed in all of the rules and conventions, and Cherry finds it all inane. I don't know if it's a "thing" as much as the basis for the strip..*shrug*IP: Logged |

Favorite thing about RPGWorld? ~~what *he* said! Cherry makes a great 'straight man.'
Umm, except that she's a woman. And awfully cute, at that. ... Err... Favorite thing? Yep. Definitely the mix between one character immersed in the "reality" of the game world, and one who acts as a sounding board, twisting the suspension of disbelief into quality satire/spoof/rip-snorting laughter! *Sigh* Times are tough. FUNNY and BRILLIANTLY thought up! Keep it up, Ian~~ I'm enjoying it immensely, and am *ecstatic* that you're updating regularly now. ------------------ "Woohoo! I FINALLY thought of a witty qu~~ DAMMIT!! I can't remember what it was... but, man! It was witty!! Honest. ... ... OK. So I got nothing." --damonk13 Framed! The Comic! Heh, I found this site while web browsing during the wee hours of the morning. This comic is really funny! Keep up the good work Ian!It's hard to say what my favorite aspect of the comic is since I like everything that's in it. But I would say that I like the characters the most. Every RPG has a character that provides comedy relief or is labled as the "oddball" If the regular characters are so damn funny, I can't wait to see the comic one. IP: Logged |

Frankly, I like everything. And if you take anything out I will hunt you down and kill you. Well, I probably won't. But I will type in capitals, and write lots of mean messages on this board. Okay maybe not. But I could, so there.------------------ So this mute says to my blind friend, "Look over there!" J-Walkin' IP: Logged |

Maybe the hero needs a name.. i dunno. just a thought. He could check into a 'name changing station' that some games have. and cherryd be like 'what your names changed? that all you do? that it?" heh.IP: Logged |

I do belive this comic kicks ass all they need to do is 1. give "the hero" a real name 2. create a real vilan & plot 3. new charictures 4. update more often

I think it's kind of funny that although Cherry has evidently been in the same world as the hero for a while, she doesn't know any of the rules that govern it. "It" being the world, not the hero.IP: Logged |

Best part... hmm...All of these things are things you notice in RPGs on PSX or whatever. At least once, you have to wonder why you don't see the enemy before the second you encounter them, and that you can just run from any enemy at any time. Ian's turned it into a whole comic, and it's a well-drawn and written one. Moreover, he has Hero, who is atypical of game characters in that he realizes how his world works, and Cherry, who doesn't understand at all. ;> -Eliot "I'm just typing for no reason, aren't I?" I really like hte whole damn thing, but my fave part of the whole strip has to be when they get diane and her name changes. Who did that? I cant wait till(If) Ian decides to add to that little mystery.IP: Logged |

I suspect Cherry doesn't know them because these weird rules didn't start applying until when she met the hero. IP: Logged |

I like it 'cause it's funny as hell!!!! finnaly I'am not alone being bothed by single speaking part NPC's and the fact that a machine gun shot to the head doesn't kill people unless it's in an FMV. I like Ian's art to it really really.....groin-grabbingly good. I think they need to have more characters, remember FF Tactics had like 25 main characters. When will they get to the City of the South?!?!?!------------------ We must go forward, not backwards; upwards, not forwards; And always wirlling, twirlling towards freedom! IP: Logged |

I like it because if I didn't like it then i wouldn't like my own comic either and then the quality would suffer now wouldn't it?Plus, Ian draws better than me. IP: Logged |

Heh, the best part of your comic webby is your style. It's evolved a lot since the beginning. I've always loved poking fun at typical/overused parts of RPGs, or any videogame. Which is why I started making Fallacy, soon after I discovered Adventurers! and RPGWorld, imagine my surprise ^_^ Ahyoo keep up the good work, both of ya.------------------ Go read Online Life and play Final Fallacy now! ^_^ http://www.angelfire.com/rpg/supponibarodu [This message has been edited by SpoonyBard2k (edited 03-08-2001).] IP: Logged |

I'd have to say my favorite thing is that theirs always something that makes me say "Oh yeah THATS true in almost every RPG!"The joke with exp. was insanely funny too "You found a lost puppy" "you found a rock" "You Learned Cheese technique"... ------------------ "i'd become pen-pals with the Unibomber...and LET HIM SEND ME PACKAGES!" ~Fearless~ IP: Logged |

What I like is what Ian has managed to accomplish with it. RPG World started out as a pun strip, at the time it was very funny "You found a lost puppy!". Seeing as how Adventurers! had already cornered the market (so to speak) on RPG jokes though, there wasn't need for another comic like that and clearly our talented author saw the potential to do more.So now we have comic-book like strips and a really neat story without losing the humour or the ever evolving characters. Good job if you ask me, good job indeed. IP: Logged |

I might be wrong, but I don't think she knows any of the rules that govern the hero, either. ------------------ *sigh* Times are tough. IP: Logged |
