Being right handed, I suppose I lean to my right more often, when I do lean to either side. Very few people are aware that as babies, infants show a tendency to roll to the side of what later develops to be their dominant arm, and suck on the thumb of their dominant hand. I would thusly assume that humans would show a similar propensity in their leaning.

Simply lean back in your chair and lay comfortably as if you were going to nap. Lean your head one way, then the other. That'll give you a good idea of which you prefer.
For me, it's to my left. Though I'm right handed...I handle a hockey stick like a lefty (or sweep for those of you unfarmiliar with the sport of kings) but I bat left (or bash someones head in with a pipe, for those of you unfarmiliar with the sport of boredom).

I guess left...though I've tended to be ambi in most things recently. All except strength...while I have equal control and skill on both sides my right has been stronger...but I prefer to lean to the left.

I suppose most of the time, if I'm leaning, I'm leaning to the left. That's mostly because when I'm at my computer surfing the net, as I am wont to do, my mouse is on the right, what with my being right-handed, and that makes leaning in that direction awkward. Therefore, since I spend so much time at a computer, I tend to lean to the left when I'm away from one, as well. |

Personally, mine leans toward the right a bit. But I think that's because I'm right handed.

I have scoliosis as a result of carrying a heavy backpack on only my right shoulder, so I have more than a tendency to lean to the right. This is being fixed by semi-weekly chiropractor visits. _________________

Leaning to the right or left does not preclude leaning to the front or back. One can, for example, lean both to the right and to the front, or to the right and back, etc.
